Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Shopzy ("we", "our", "the Platform"), accessible at https://shop-zy.online, collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data of users ("you", "the user") who visit the site or create an account.
1. Personal data collected
Depending on how you use Shopzy, we may collect:
- Account data: full name, email address, password (stored encrypted), optional profile picture.
- Order data: shipping address, city, postal code, country, phone number, order history, cart contents.
- Payment data: Shopzy never stores your full card numbers. Payments are processed by secure third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal); only a transaction confirmation (status, amount, reference) is transmitted to us.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, for security and service improvement purposes.
- Seller data (if applicable): for users creating a shop, store name, business contact details, products listed for sale.
2. Creating and managing accounts
An account can be created in two ways:
- by email and password, chosen by the user;
- via "Sign in with Google" (Google Sign-In / Google OAuth), described in the next section.
The user can view, correct, or update their profile information at any time from their "My Account" area. Creating an account is not required to browse the catalog; it is however required to place a tracked order, save an address, or access order history.
3. Use of Google OAuth / Google Sign-In
Shopzy offers simplified sign-in via Google ("Google Sign-In"), technically provided by Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). When you choose this option:
- you are redirected to Google's official authentication screen, where you sign in with your own Google credentials;
- Shopzy never has access to your Google password;
- you can revoke Shopzy's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account Security page.
4. Data potentially received from Google
When you use Google Sign-In, Google shares with us, with your authorization, only the basic information needed to create your Shopzy account:
- your first and last name (as registered on your Google account);
- the email address associated with that account;
- your public profile picture, if available;
- a unique Google identifier used to link your session to your Shopzy account.
Shopzy does not request any additional permissions (contacts, calendar, Google Drive files, etc.) and does not access any other data from your Google account.
5. Use and retention of data
The data collected is used to:
- create and secure your account;
- process, ship, and track your orders;
- contact you about an order, a support request, or an account-related notification;
- prevent fraud and ensure the security of the Platform;
- improve our products and services, with your consent where required (e.g., newsletter).
Account data is retained as long as the account remains active. Order data is retained for as long as necessary to comply with our accounting and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized. You may request early deletion of your data at any time (see section 10).
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Shopzy uses cookies and similar technologies (browser local storage) to:
- keep your session signed in and preserve your cart contents;
- remember your preferences (language, currency);
- measure site traffic on an aggregated basis.
You may configure your browser to reject cookies; some features (sign-in, cart) may then stop working correctly.
7. Third-party services
Shopzy relies on third-party providers to operate, each subject to its own privacy policy:
- Google / Firebase โ authentication and database (Google LLC);
- Stripe and PayPal โ secure card payment processing;
- Hosting โ server infrastructure ensuring site availability.
These providers only use your data to deliver the relevant service, not for their own advertising purposes.
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS) across the entire site, passwords stored in hashed form, restricted access to data on the admin side, and monitoring of abnormal access attempts. As no system is infallible, we encourage you to use a unique, strong password.
9. User rights
Depending on your place of residence, you have rights over your personal data, including:
- the right to access your data;
- the right to rectify inaccurate information;
- the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- the right to data portability;
- the right to object and to withdraw your consent at any time (e.g., newsletter unsubscribe).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 11.
10. Account and data deletion
You may request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. Deletion results in:
- closure of your account and access to Shopzy;
- erasure of your profile information (name, email, address, phone number);
- retention, where required by law, of only the data necessary to comply with legal or accounting obligations (e.g., invoices), for the legally required period, after which it is deleted.
11. Procedure for requesting data deletion
To request deletion of your account or your data:
- Send an email to contact@shop-zy.online with the subject "Account deletion request";
- Include the email address associated with your Shopzy account;
- We confirm receipt of your request within 48 hours and complete the deletion within a maximum of 30 days, unless a legal retention obligation applies.
